Invitation
The Hungarian Biophysical Society, the European Biophysical Societies Association, and the Eötvös Loránd University are honoured to invite you to the 8th European Biophysics Congress be held in Budapest, Hungary between 23-27 August 2011.
The beauties and the glamour of the city of Budapest - also known as the 'Queen of the Danube' - the capital of Hungary, the centre of Hungarian cultural life, with its monuments and museums, its culture and charms, will give you the possibility to learn more about Hungary. After the scientific sessions, you will be attracted by the wonderful architecture of Buda, the Castle Hill with the Royal Palace, the Matthias Church and the ramparts of Fisherman's Bastion, or at Pest the House of Parliament or the Andrássy Boulevard. You can also enjoy Hungarian cuisine and wines. A river cruise on the Danube or a visit the thermal bath in one of the Turkish-era bath houses will be a memorable experience.
All the congress activities will be at the new Campus of the Eötvös Loránd University, conveniently located close to the arteries of public transportation. The EBSA congress will be organized according to the classical scheme, with main sessions, followed by three parallel sessions and poster presentations. Together with the main meeting, satellite events on special topics, before and after the EBSA congress, are planned to be organized. The Congress will have special emphasis on showing discoveries related to improving quality of life.
On behalf of Hungarian biophysics, we will welcome you to Budapest, with the aim of combining science and entertainment, leaving you with good memories.
