Bursaries

The British Biophysical Society is offering five bursaries of £200 each to assist UK-based young scientists to attend the Budapest Congress
People interested should email
bbs@britishbiophysics.org.uk

EBSA will provide up to 60 bursaries for European scientists who have no access to funds from National Societies. Applications from graduate students and post-doctoral fellows are encouraged. For Ph.D. students, bursaries consist of the registration fee and accommodation in student housing during the congress. For post-docs the bursary consists of the registration only. Successful applicants of the bursary will receive €100 discount from the registration fee of one satellite conference.

Applicants are requested to send an e-mail by 15th March 2011 to Ms. Kinga Homolay, secretary of the Congress (homolay@med.unideb.hu) attaching a brief curriculum vitae and a copy of their poster abstract. In addition, Ph.D. students are asked to include a recommendation letter from their supervisor. Decisions will be taken by the bursary sub-committee of the EBSA Executive Committee. Priority will be given to scientific excellence and need for support.

Successful candidates will be expected to submit a one page report on their experience at the Congress before the end of 2011.
